You will face a lack of resources in the first minutes of the game, but if you choose the right path of development, this problem can be solved fairly quickly. Afterwards, it would be best to take care of the safety of your settlements and only then set off to conquer new territories.
You will have to fight in real time. Try to plan all your actions in advance because during the battle every second will be important. If you can't defeat your enemies, try again by changing your strategy. Don't forget to save before starting the battle and you will have as many attempts as needed.
