Line War
Line War real-time strategy in the classic style. The game is available on PC. The 3D graphics are good and detailed. The voice acting is of high quality, the music is pleasant and will not tire you during a long game. Optimization is present, thanks to this the performance requirements are not high, you can play even on relatively weak devices.
When creating this project, the developers were inspired by board games and some of the best classic RTS games, such as Command and Conquer.
Before you start the game, go through a short tutorial with tips, it will help you quickly figure it out. It won’t be difficult, even though the developers have used a not entirely classic control scheme in Line War.
Tasks are quite traditional for any RTS strategy:
- Explore the area in search of resource extraction sites
- Build a base in a place convenient for defense
- Ensure the safety of your camp so that enemies do not raze it to the ground
- Develop technologies, construct new buildings and improve weapons
- Forge alliances with other players and find out whose army is stronger on the battlefield
This is a short list of what you will do when you play Line War.
Before you start, you will have the opportunity to select the terrain, map size, number of opponents and other important parameters.
The developers paid special attention to maintaining balance, because no matter which faction you choose, your skill as a commander will play a decisive role on the battlefield.
The control system in Line War is very convenient but not entirely traditional. You will have the opportunity to plan the actions of your units many steps ahead. You literally draw a plan of action on the map, and your combat units follow it. This slightly changes the concept and makes control in battles more convenient. There is no longer any need to pay attention to each combat unit, just outline your goals and trajectory, and then move on to the next unit.
If you don’t manage to win the first time, don’t be discouraged, perhaps a more experienced player is playing against you. Over time, having developed an effective strategy, you will be able to cope with any enemy. The main thing is not to give up, try and experiment further.
The game is currently in early access. Critical bugs have already been fixed, you can have fun fighting with thousands of players around the world. The local campaign is not yet available, but by the time Line War is released, the developers promise to please all players with an interesting plot. Development is being carried out actively, at a high pace, so at the time you are reading this text, a release may have already taken place.
In order to play Line War you will need a stable Internet connection, but local missions will be able to be played offline.
