Millennia is a real-time strategy in which you take control of humanity during its development. The game is available on PC. The graphics are incredibly detailed and colorful. Millennia has an excellent musical design; you can add some of the compositions to your music library.
Take charge of a group of people in an era when tribes roamed in search of food. Help a small tribe turn into a prosperous country.
A lot of things await you on the way to your goal:
- Explore the world around you
- Find places suitable for building cities
- Mine wood, stone, ore and other necessary materials
- Sow the fields and provide the population with food
- Build residential buildings, industrial buildings and other objects
- Develop science, master new technologies
- Create a strong army capable of resisting hostile peoples and countries

New players will receive hints at the beginning of the game, so they will be able to quickly understand the controls and understand what needs to be done.
The developers of Millennia were inspired by classic games like Civilization. Here, too, development occurs in stages. By fulfilling certain conditions, your country gets the opportunity to move into the next era. Sometimes it makes sense to hurry, and sometimes it doesn’t. If you are waging a war, you will thus receive more modern weapons before your opponent. In quiet times, there is no need to rush the transition. There is an opportunity to improve buildings; in addition, new buildings will become available.
Large projects consume resources; they should be taken on only when it will not harm other activities and other projects that are more necessary at the moment.
What exactly you decide to do yourself, several paths lead to success. Become an intrepid conqueror or make a scientific breakthrough.
Despite the fact that the game begins in the distant past, you can reach the present day or even get into one of the versions of the future. How it all ends depends on you.
Each player can change the difficulty so that playing Millennia is interesting. There are several modes available, but the best place to start is by completing the story campaign. Only then will you gain enough experience to face real people in multiplayer mode, which can be more difficult than playing against AI.
The game is currently in early access, but by the time you read this text the release has most likely already taken place.
To get started, you need to download and install Millennia. A local campaign is available even if you do not have an Internet connection.
